Mass Effect 3 Omega DLC New Trailer Released (Watch Here)

Bioware has released a new trailer for its highly anticipated Omega expansion that will release on Tuesday Nov. 27 for $14.99 on PlayStation Network and for 1200 Microsoft Points on Xbox Live.

The Omega DLC is a single-player mission that sees Commander Shepard joining forces with Omega's former leader Aria T'Loak as she attempts to reclaim the space station from the forces of Cerberus.

The add-on content was described as "double the size of the largest DLC we've done for Mass Effect 3" by producer Michael Gamble. The DLC will also be the most expensive expansion ever in the Mass Effect series excluding the Cerberus Network pass for Mass Effect 2.

Here is the official synopsis of the trailer from EA's YouTube page:

"Omega has been seized by one of Cerberus' most accomplished and brilliant agents, General Oleg Petrovsky...and Aria T'Loak is plotting her revenge. To reclaim her domain, she must team up with Commander Shepard.

Navigate Omega's seedy underbelly as Aria joins your squad and you witness her legendary biotic powers and unrelenting ruthlessness first-hand. Help Nyreen Kandros, the valiant Turian leader of the Talon mercenary group, as she fights to free the enslaved people of Omega. Face down fearsome new enemies, including the Cerberus-manipulated Reaper, the Adjutant. Shape Omega's future through four death-defying missions, and strike a devastating blow to the Illusive Man's plans.

Petrovsky is about to find out why you don't break Aria's number one rule."

Omega is the third single-player expansion for Mass Effect 3 following From Ashes and Leviathan. Bioware Montreal, the development team who will be making the next entry in the series Mass Effect 4, developed the new DLC. So this may be gamer's first taste of what to expect from the future of the franchise.

Unfortunately it was announced that the Omega DLC would not be coming to Nintendo's recently released Wii U version of the game. Bioware Tweeted, "Unfortunately it will not be available for Wii U."

The developer also tweeted that it is possible that there will be future DLC for the Wii U version. Bioware Tweeted, "Never say never. :)."

Mass Effect 3: Special Edition recently released for the Wii U and came bundled with the From Ashes DLC, Extended Cut endings, and multiplayer expansions Resurgence, Rebellion, and Earth. However the version does not include the Leviathan expansion.
