Mass Effect 3 Omega DLC Released Today: New Screenshots And Trailer (See Pics Here)

Mass Effect 3's latest downloadable expansion, Omega, presents gamers with a brand new mission for the game's single-player campaign. The DLC's story features A Commander Shepard led assault to retake the space station Omega from the mysterious xenophobic Cerberus.

Omega is now available for download on Xbox Live and will release later today on the PlayStation Network and Windows PC. The Omega DLC is 1.99 GB download and cost 1200 Microsoft Points on Xbox Live and $14.99 on PlayStation Network and Windows PC.

Bioware has released four new screenshot on its official Facebook page to celebrate the expansion's release. The new images feature Aria T'Loak, Commander Shepard and the female Turian Nyreen Kandros as the battle to retake the space station against Cerberus troops led by General Oleg Petrovsky.

Here is the official description of the Mass Effect 3: Omega DLC expansion from Bioware:

"Omega has been seized by one of Cerberus' most accomplished and brilliant agents, General Oleg Petrovsky...and Aria T'Loak is plotting her revenge. To reclaim her domain, she must team up with Commander Shepard.

Join Omega's infamous leader in her fight to retake the notorious black market station. Navigate Omega's seedy underbelly as Aria joins your squad and you witness her legendary biotic powers and unrelenting ruthlessness first-hand. Help Nyreen Kandros, the valiant turian leader of the Talon mercenary group, as she fights to free the enslaved people of Omega. Face down fearsome new enemies, including the Cerberus-manipulated Reaper, the Adjutant.

Shape Omega's future through four death-defying missions, and strike a devastating blow to the Illusive Man's plans.

PlayStation 3 players in Europe will be able to download the new expansion on Wednesday, Nov. 28. Bioware has announced that there are currently no plans to release the Omega DLC for Nintendo's Wii U, but have also said that additional single-player DLC could come to the console in the future.
