"The Vampire Diaries" Season 8 has of a lot of reasons why fans should be excited about it.  First of all, former lovers Nina Dobrev and Ian Somerhalder will be reunited once again.  The plot and twists of the story, especially since this will be the last season of TVD will surely be something to watch out for.

Now that Ian Somerhalder is married, things might be a bit awkward during the shooting of "The Vampire Diaries" Season 8, especially since Nina Dobrev can be considered a bachelorette.  Although with a someone like Nina Dobrev, it's not that difficult to find a replacement for Ian Somerhalder.  The 27-year-old Bulgarian actress has been linked to some noted celebrities like Scott Eastwood and Tim Tebow to name a few.

In "The Vampire Diaries" Season 8, Nina Dobrev and Ian Somerhalder work as professionals and sets aside their past and differences while filming scenes.  Speaking of scenes, GamenGuide previously reported that Nina Dobrev might appear as early as the first episode of "The Vampire Diaries" Season 8.  However, Dobrev's appearance is still unclear on whether she will be Elena or Katherine.

The die hard TVD fans would most definitely want to see Damon and Elena reunite onscreen for the last time in "The Vampire Diaries" Season 8.  If there's one person who's clearly opposed to be reunion, it would be Ian Somerhalder's wife, Nikki Reed.  Ever since "The Vampire Diaries" Season 8 has been confirmed, reports about Ian Somerhalder and Nina Dobrev's chance at a possible romantic reunion have emerged.  The reports have gotten so twisted ending up with Nikki Reed wanting to divorce Ian Somerhalder.
