Ninja Gaiden 3 Razor's Edge To Receive Two New DLC Character Via a Title Update

Ninja Theory's action adventure video game Ninja Gaiden 3 Razor's Edge will receive new downloadable content on Nintendo Wii U.

IGN reports, that the Wii U exclusive and upgraded version of Ninja Gaiden 3 will receive two new playable characters Momiji from the Ninja Gaiden series and Kasumi, from Dead or Alive. The two new playable characters will come as part of free title updates that are coming soon.

Here is the game's official description from the Ninja Gaiden 3: Razor's Edge website:

"Ninja Gaiden 3: Razor's Edge is a leaner, tighter, and more thrilling experience than the original game, improved in every way. Drastically reduced story sequences, streamlined game flow, and improved A.I. complement a plethora of new features exclusive to the Wii U console. This is truly the sequel that NINJA GAIDEN fans have been waiting for.

The intense violence synonymous with the Ninja Gaiden series has returned with a vengeance. Well placed attacks will once again result in the loss of legs, arms, heads, and torsos in a spectacular display of carnage. But watch out-limbless foes may make a last ditch effort to attack."

The game has some Wii U exclusives including the ability to play as either Ryu or Ayane when playing the Ninja Trials. Gamers can also play as generic Ninja character. The downloadable patch will let games play as Momiji and Kasumi in the mode as well.

The game has received better scores on the Wii u than the original Ninja Gaiden 3 fro Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. IGN rated the game a 7.6-out-of-10 and says, "you can forget much of what you may have heard about the original release of this game earlier this year on the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. It's far from perfect and best viewed with "launch goggles" on, but Razor's Edge's unflinching action and unabashed violence is a great sign for the Wii U as a core gamer's platform."
