Apple iPhone, iPhone 7 Plus Release News & Updates: The Year's Most Coveted Phones Have Been Unveiled; But Fans Are Giving Mixed Reviews

The iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus have finally been released to the public, but not everyone seems impressed with what Apple has to offer for their new flagship phone. While it does not look very different from its predecessor, the experimental removal of some features and the addition of some which Apple users find unnecessary has garnered mixed reviews.

Gamespot reports that the new iPhone features a redesigned home button that makes use of force-sensitive input which means that a user does not have to physically push it. The screen is now 25% brighter than its predecessor and features a wide-color gamut support, the speakers have also been revamped to a stereo setup.

As popularly rumored, the new iPhone no longer has a headphone jack and instead of such, it has premiered new wireless AirPods. These new ear pods can still be wired in through the lightning port, but other headsets can also be connected to the device with an adaptor. These new AirPods only offer five hours of battery life, although they can be charged simply by plugging them into their carrying case, which carries 24 hours of battery life.

The camera has been improved to become more stable and faster and the built-in flash now produces more brightness in low light areas. The iPhone 7 Plus boasts of a second camera which creates a built in optical 2x zoom which a user can access by pressing a button on the touchscreen. Phone Arena reports that the biggest surprise was that the launch of the new devices was kicked off with Nintendo announcing a Mario game for iOS. This new feature has had a lot of fans unimpressed since what is being added is just a Mario game for mobile, which does not appear new at all.

The report considers the new devices to be great ones just like their predecessors since the new camera and processor should make noticeable differences. But looking at it from a wider angle, some would say that there is not anything awesome about it since the upgrades that were seen were the same repetitive upgrades. What's your take on the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus?
