Slash Film reports that "Avatar 2" is going to be more about Jake Sully, Neytiri and their kids. Sources have claimed that the characters of Sam Worthington and Zoe Saldana are going to marry and have their own children in the upcoming movie sequel.

"The storyline in the sequels really follows Jake and Neytiri and their children," "Avatar 2" director James Cameron has revealed to Variety. "It's more of a family saga about the struggle with the humans."

According to reports, all new villains will try to tear the family of Jake Sully and Neytiri apart in the "Avatar 2 movie. James Cameron has even confirmed that the character of Sam Worthington is going to become the new chief of the tribe and, of course, the plot will also include the war between humans and Na'vis.

Aside from Sam Worthington and Zoe Saldana, Stephen Lang and Sigourney Weaver are also expected to reprise their roles in the "Avatar 2" movie. Reports say the two stars will still be portray the roles of Colonel Miles Quaritch and Dr. Grace Augustine.

Fans should, however, expect that Stephen Lang and Sigourney Weaver's characters in "Avatar 2" will be different from the first movie. Previous reports claim that Dr. Grace Augustine is going to be the newest villain while Colonel Miles Quaritch joins Jake Sully and Neytiri as one of the lead stars.

Meanwhile, GamenGuide has reported that "Avatar 2" will be released in December 2018. Well, James Cameron just confirmed the news and stated that it is going to be a sort of Christmas present to all diehard fans who patiently waited for the sequel movie.

"We haven't moved that target yet, but we will if we need to. The important thing for me is not when the first one comes out but the cadence of the release pattern," "Avatar 2" director James Cameron has revealed. "I want them to be released as close together as possible. If it's an annual appointment to show up at Christmas, I want to make sure that we're able to fulfill on that promise."
