Niantic Labs has announced that the "Pokemon GO" Plus wearable will be launched on Sept. 16, which is almost two months after the date it was promised. The device, priced at $35, is a wrist-mounted Bluetooth sensor that vibrates when Pokemon and PokeStops are near. The device was originally set to be launched in July.
The "Pokemon GO" Plus device remains sold out at both Gamestop and Amazon. The Pokemon Company and Niantic announced the revised release date just after Apple's press conference on Sept. 7. Niantic has also announced that the game's Apple Watch version is also on its way, writes The Verge.
Moreover, new "Pokemon GO" features have also been revealed. The upcoming updates will provide players more ways to prepare and train for Gym battles. The first and foremost is the Buddy Pokemon feature that will players to choose their favorite Pokemon to give them company while they are walking.
Walking with one's favorite Pokemon will open up in-game experiences and rewards. The Buddy Pokemon will appear alongside the Trainer avatar on the profile screen and reward players with helpful bonuses not limited to Candy. Pokemon.com has not revealed anything more about this amazing "Pokemon GO" feature.
Another crucial feature "Pokemon GO" will be getting is the Appraisal System, which will allow players to get help for Pokemon Gyms from the players' respective Team Leaders - Candela, Blanche or Spark. The Team Leader will help in battle preparation by letting players know which of their Pokemon have the best attack and defence capabilities.
