Channing Dungey, ABC's President affirmed during the Television Critics Association last month that "Scandal" Season 6 is set to return with an extraordinary script that opens with a scene on "Election day."
Television viewers will get to see Millie played by Bellamy Young against Frankie (Ricardo Chavira) in a fight for the U.S. presidency. The Parent Herald report highlighted that "Scandal" Season 6 will be a "bloodbath" season of the cheating manoeuver of Cyrus Beene (Jeff Perry),the former American President Fitzgerald Grant's Chief of Staff, running for the vice-presidency.

As for the rumor that Scott Foley would not be returning for the upcoming episodes of "Scandal" Season 6, that speculation has been debunked. There are also no affirmations from ABC for its authenticity.

Meanwhile, Young, one of the casts relayed some synopsis for "Scandal" Season 6. For one, according to the Christian Post, Millie's great astonishment was discovering the fact that Cyrus knows her haunting past. Also, Opposing Cyrus in the vice presidential bid is Jake (Scott Foley).
"Scandal" Season 6 will be a series full of challenges for everyone in the storyline as each of them played different roles of scheming and mindboggling strategies. While Millie will work hard to see Cyrus fall, Olivia (played by Kerry Washington) will work the hardest to make Cyrus lose in the election.
The series revolves around politics, garnering more than 6 million viewers in its last season's finale. "Scandal" Season 6 will be aired in 2017 in the same 9:00 P.M. timeslot, every Thursday night.
