The latest trailer for Electronic Arts and Cyrtek's upcoming Crysis 3 features six minutes of gameplay footage.
The video shows Prophet and Psycho encountering some sort of vicious creatures that are hiding within the tall grass that has overrun the remains of New York City. The creatures are a purplish hue with glowing red eyes and they have elongated talons. The duo narrowly escape at the by hopping onto a freight train.

"Get lost in the open Fields of Crysis 3 with this all new single-player gameplay video preview!
The unnatural power of the Nanodome has transformed the train yards of New York City into a grassland teeming with wild vegetation & opposing CELL artillery. Prophet and Psycho must venture through the heavily guarded Field to meet up with the rebel insurgency, and deal with the destructive force of the CELL's sentry towers along the way. There's more than one way for Prophet to get through the sandbox of the Fields level - but how will you choose to play Crysis 3?"
Crysis 3 will release in February 2013 for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 3, and Xbox 360.

"New York City lies in ruin. Skyscrapers once thought to be timeless monuments crumble and give way to vines. Clamoring streets that filled with rush-hour traffic now host the banks of a river. An underground system designed to support millions has rotted into caverns as deep and dark as anywhere on Earth. A nanodome looms overhead, keeping the eye of the outside world out and an untold danger in. This is where you strike.
Nature has reclaimed what was once the world's most iconic city and you'll have to adapt if you want to survive. Stalk your prey through a shadowy 5th avenue rainforest or wade waist-high through an urban swamp. Cover ground quickly over the midtown grasslands or seek cover in a deep, etched Wall Street canyon. You'll need to plan for any situation in the wreckage of the city. With the dome overhead and alien technology on the loose there's no telling what challenges you'll face.
So, you better be ready to use every situation and environment to your advantage, because you won't get a second chance. It's a jungle out there."
