Family Guy Online To Shutdown Next Month

Family Guy Online, the massively multiplayer online role-playing developed by Roadhouse Interactive is shutting down for good on Jan. 18, 2013, according to an official announcement on the game's website.

The free-to-play game was in its open-beta stage and not official released. The company will refund all purchases made by gamers in the last two months. Here is the official statement about the game's closing:

"The Family Guy Online Open Beta is drawing to a close and access to Family Guy Online will end on Friday January 18, 2013. Thank you for participating.

We will be refunding all real-money purchases made within Family Guy Online in the last 60 days. See below for refund details.

Additional Refund Policy and Account Closure Information:

All real-money purchases made within Family Guy Online between the dates of October 22, 2012 and December 21, 2012 will be refunded. The refunds will be processed in early January 2013 as follows:

Purchases made by credit cards and PayPal will be automatically refunded back to your account. If you do not receive your refund by January 10, 2013, please contact support@familyguyonline.com.

Purchases made using an Ultimate Game Card®: you will be sent a new Ultimate Game Card® code for the equivalent amount of the Ultimate Game Card® you redeemed. This new Ultimate Game Card® code will be sent to you at the email address you used to create your Family Guy Online account. If you do not receive your new Ultimate Game Card® code by January 10, 2013, please contact support@familyguyonline.com.

Purchases made using all other forms of payment: we are unable to credit other forms of payment, so you will be sent an Ultimate Game Card® code for the equivalent amount of the purchase you made. The Ultimate Game Card® code will be sent to you at the email address you used to create your Family Guy Online account. If you do not receive an Ultimate Game Card® code by January 10, 2013, please contact support@familyguyonline.com.

Once the game is closed on January 18, 2013, you will no longer be able to access your Family Guy Online account or your Family Guy Online profile. Please refer to the Family Guy Online Terms of Use for additional details."
