‘X-Men’ TV Spin-off ‘Legion’ Release Weird And Funny Trailers

"Legion" will be the first TV series spun from the "X-Men" worls. Also, the initial trailers are weirdly awesome and funny.

According to Gamespot, Marvel and Fox have decided to partner together to deliver "Legion" to television screens next year. It will first air on FX and "Fargo" showrunner Noah Hawley is on top of things to ensure its success. Dan Stevens from "The Guest" will lead the cast as "David Haller" son of "Professor X", the psychic leader of the "X-Men." In "Legion," he starts hearing voices inside his head which leads him to discover that they are actually real.

In the same post by Gamespot, "Legion" was a character that made its first appearance in an issue of "The New Mutants" in 1985. The upcoming TV show is the first project of Marvel wherein it has direct involvement in the on-screen production. Fox, on the other hand, is noted for producing "X-Men" movies and spinoffs like "Deadpool" and "Wolverine." Marvel still owns the TV rights to all titles.

"X-Men" director Bryan Singer admitted that the TV show will take place in the same universe as what people have been used to seeing in the big screen. He said, "It's part of the X-Men universe but when you watch it, you wouldn't have to label it. It could exist completely on its own."

In a related report by Screen Rant, FX's "Legion" is coming to the New York Comic Con which has become a promotional hub for TV shows owing to its huge and still growing number of followers. Last year alone, the event attracted a record 170, 000 people who came to see their favorite shows and stars. A promotional panel discussion and interview will take place for "Legion" on October 9 from 12:30 to 1:30 pm. New York Comic Con will take place from October 6 to 9 at the Jarvis Center in New York City.
