Samsung also seems to be working on releasing a dual boot phone with the Samsung Galaxy S8. Samsung was rumored to have gotten a patent last year for a Galaxy-style device that will run on both Android and Windows OS.
Samsung once tried the dual boot system with the Ativ-Q but did not succeed. Nevertheless, Samsung is reportedly tapping that realm once more for Samsung Galaxy S8.
Samsung Galaxy S8 is expected to be the game-changer for the South Korean tech company that may roll out some time in the first and second quarter of 2017. This is especially important as Apple already rolled out its iPhone 7 and this year's Samsung Galaxy Note 7 did not turn out very well.
Samsung has not yet revealed any details for their upcoming device but some theories have been believed to be a part of Samsung's next flagship phone, such as dual boot tech and a curved screen.
Despite the lack of leaks for Samsung Galaxy S8, there still are some possibilities for Samsung Galaxy S7's successor, TechAdvisor reported. The Samsung Galaxy S7 had a lot of features similar with Samsung Galaxy S6, so the Samsung Galaxy S8 may come in metal and glass as well.
Latest reports reaffirmed that Samsung Galaxy S8 and Samsung Galaxy S8 edge will feature a dual curved screen. Samsung is also expected to forego the flat screen in favor of a curved screen for Samsung Galaxy S8, Tech Times reported. The Korea Herald also reaffirmed this feature for the upcoming phone as the curved screen was first featured in Galaxy S6 edge.
Samsung Galaxy S8 is also expected to sport a dual-camera feature similar to Apple's iPhone 7 Plus. Recently, smartphone makers have featured 6GB of RAM in their handsets.
It is highly likely that Samsung Galaxy S8 will have a faster processor as well if it will come out with at least 6GB of RAM as well. Samsung Galaxy S8 is also expected to be released in the annual Mobile World Congress (MWC) that will be held sometime between February and March, 2017.
