007 Legends And James Bond: Blood Stone Are Currently Not Available On Steam

It looks like Activision may have pulled its James Bond video game titles from Steam and its own online game store.

According to a report on IGN, The miss bond games, James Bond 007: Blood Stone, developed by the closed Bizarre Creations, Quantum of Solace by Treyarch, and the more recent 007 Legends, developed by recently-closed studio Eurocom, was first noticed by Neogamr.net.

The reports says that Activision signed a deal with MGM and EON, the owners of the James Bond rights, back in 2006 with deal scheduled to end 2014. So the removal of the games is quite surprising.

IGN says that they have attempted to contacted Activision for comment and clarification on this story, bot no word as of right now.

Eurocom shutdown in December citing a steep decline in game sales figures since 2008. The studio had let go of 150 staff member in November and laid off its remaining 42 members in December.

Since its release 007 Legends has received mostly negative reviews. On review aggregating website Metacritic, the PlayStation 3 version of the game has a 43-out-of-100 score based on 15 reviews and the Xbox 360 version has a 45-out-of-100 score based on 47 reviews.

IGN gave the game a 4.5-out-of-10 and said, "Last year Eurocom delivered GoldenEye: Reloaded, an HD remake which was arguably the best James Bond game since well, the original GoldenEye 64. Unfortunately the developer hasn't been able to maintain that trajectory with 007 Legends; an abhorrent 'tribute' to the history of the British super spy that doesn't just take liberties - it takes the piss."

007 Legends was released in October for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, followed by Windows PC version of the game in November and Wii U in December.
