Capcom has confirmed that the Bloody Palace Mode will be returning in its upcoming DmC: Devil May Cry, a reboot of the franchise.
Bloody Palace Mode will be available as a free update shortly after the game launches for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and Windows PC, according to Capcom.
As with previous games in the third-person beat'em series, the new difficulty mode will be playable once gamers complete the main game and deliver over 100 levels of demons and enemies, including five of the game's boss characters.
There will also be a global leader boards that will recognize the top players that have competed in the Bloody Palace Mode. Capcom also says that stylish combat will be recognized. You can check out six new screenshots that showcase the new game mode above in our slideshow.
Here is the game's synopsis from Capcom:
"The next installment of the multi-million selling Devil May Cry franchise, DmC sees Capcom collaborating with UK based Ninja Theory to explore new frontiers for the series. Set against a contemporary backdrop, DmC will depict a duplicitous world where nothing is ever as it seems and the line between good and evil is constantly blurred. Spurred into action by the promises of a trusted relation, Dante bursts into this world intent on revenge at any cost. DmC will retain the series' signature mix of sword and gunplay but add additional weapons, all new powers and a revitalized gameplay system as players encounter the game's devilish mix of enemies and navigate the rich, interactive environment."
DmC: Devil May Cry arrives on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 on Jan. 15, 2013 across North America and Europe with a PC version shortly after. The game will be available for digital download for Windows PC on Jan. 25, 2013.
