In the return of "Scandal" Season 6, President Fitz's (Tony Goldwin) exit wouldn't be easy as he will try to help Olivia (Kerry Washington) to bring Cyrus (Jeff Perry) down. The two will do their best to stop the vice presidential aspirant's evil plans.
Olivia To Bring Cyrus Down
According to Ecumenical News, Mellie (Bellamy Young) has no idea that Cyrus is running for the vice presidential seat and so, she opted to run with Jake (Scott Foley). With the two's strong alliance, Mellie is confident that they could win the leadership in the country in the coming "Scandal" Season 6. Little did they know that Cyrus is holding a card against them that could ruin their candidacies.
Cyrus is the one who is responsible for making Frankie's (Ricardo Chavira) name be known. He, too, will use his connections while still working with Fritz to secure his and Frankie's win. But, Olivia is holding something big that can bring Cyrus down. If Fritz is going to help Olivia, it could lead to a dirtier and messier politics for them all in "Scandal" Season 6.
George Newbern Hints Mellie Would Win 'Scandal' Season 6?
Meanwhile, George Newbern, who portrays Charlie, hinted a possibility that Mellie could win the elections in "Scandal" Season 6. At Entertainment Weekly's pre-party for Emmy Awards 2016, he gave a glimpse of what fans can expect in the return of the show. The 51-year-old star revealed that Shonda Rhimes is trying to depict a real story that tells the on-going election of today in the TV series, as per Bustle.
"Mellie would definitely bring a lot of different elements to being president, just like Hillary Clinton would probably bring a lot," George Newbern added. He also added that he loves how Mellie let things go their way and seems not to care. "I'm from the south and I think she has a real sort of sassy, realistic thing. [Fitz]'s very put-together, I think she has a more, very accessible vibe," he added. "Scandal" Season 6 will return in midseason of 2017 on ABC.
