Fans could possibly expect more from the upcoming "Game of Thrones" Season 7 next year as "The Winds of Winter" author George R.R. Martin teased fans of a major prequel in the next season. After the "Game of Thrones" won its second consecutive Emmy award for Outstanding Drama Series last Sunday night, the cast and crews gather backstage for some celebration.
"The Winds of Winter" author George R.R. Martin then hinted of a possible flashback about the land of Westeros before all the major happenings in "Game of Thrones" book series, according to LA Times. So, avid fanatics of the popular HBO series should really watch out for the "Game of Thrones" Season 7.
Meanwhile, "Game of Thrones" creators David Benioff and DB Weiss have been a huge part of the series' success. Benioff also pointed out he and Weiss will no longer be part of the Westeros after the final season airs.
Benioff referred Martin when asked about a possible spin-off for the "Game of Thrones" series. As reported by Telegraph UK, "The Winds of Winter" author George R.R. Martin said that he already has tons of fake history pages, which he used in making the hit series "Game of Thrones" and he said that he will be writing more.
However, as of the moment, "The Winds of WInter" author George R.R. Martin and the rest of the cast and crew will be busy in finishing up the "Game of Thrones Season 7." He also has two books to finish; so, these prequel rumors could probably be just mere speculations.
The "Game of Thrones" series was recently at Emmys and brought home a total of 12 trophies, ousting its own record of nine awards at the prestigous award giving body. The show have been considered as the most decorated series in Emmys' history for a total of 38 trophies.Well, for sure, fans will have more things to expect in the upccoming "Game of Thrones" Season 7.
Meanwhile, Emilia Clark, who plays Daenerys Targaryen, has confirmed to GQ Magazine that the upcoming "Game of Thrones Season 7" will be more intense than the Season 6 Battle of the Bastard. She added that her character in the "Game of Thrones" series will not be meeting Cersei Lannister or Arya Stark, who are played by Lena Headey and Maisie Williams, respectively.
