Sony Pictures Animation has already released the first trailer of "Smurfs: The Lost Village." Following the box office hits "The Smurfs" and "The Smurfs 2", the fans are, for sure, expecting much from this new installment.
According to Hollywood Reporter, the playful teaser of "Smurfs: The Lost Village" featured dangerous flowers and curious creatures. The "Smurfs" were searching for the lost village and they were even looking in the audience.
The blue creatures of "Smurfs: The Lost Village" were looking through the screen for their destination and marvelling at the audience before two "Smurfs" are attacked by nearby dangerous flowers.
But unlike "The Smurfs" and "The Smurfs 2," Slash Film reported that "Smurfs: The Lost Village" is ditching the live-action component of the last two films. Instead, it will be a fully animated CG adventure about "Smurfette" setting out to find her purpose in life.
Moreover, Wopular emphasized on the all-new take on "Smurfs: The Lost Village". It is pretty much like a total revamp.
A serious map sets "Smurfette" and her best friends Brainy, Clumsy, and Hefty on an exciting race through the "Forbidden Forest". The forest is filled with magical creatures to find a mysterious lost village before the wicked wizard "Gargamel" gets to find it.
Demi Lovato heads up the voice cast as "Smurfette". Brainy is voiced by Danny Pudi while Clumsy and Hefty are voice by Jack McBrayer and Joe Manganiello, respectively. Mandy Patinkin takes over the role of Papa Smurf which was voiced by the late Jonathan Winters. Jonathan Winters voiced Papa Smurf in the previous two "Smurf" movies.
"Smurfs: The Lost Village" is produced by Jordan Kenner and directed by Kelly Asbury. The danger-filled and action-packed "Smurfs" film will open in theaters on April 7, 2017. Watch out for the film that would unfold the biggest secret in "Smurf" history!
