Game publisher Bandai Namco Entertainment and game developer From Software have recently released the official gameplay trailer of the upcoming DLC pack for the action role-playing video game, "Dark Souls 3."

Following the recently concluded Tokyo Game Show last weekend, Bandai Namco Entertainment decided to roll out the in-game footage of the new expansion. The trailer material shows the plot details and features of the "Ashes of Ariandel" DLC. The upcoming "Dark Souls 3" DLC pack is believed to be the first of the final two expansions for the game.

According to the game publisher's synopsis about the new "Dark Souls 3" DLC, players are going to face a tough challenge as they enter the dangerous place of Ariandel. There are evil forces they must defeat enable to uncover the mystery that has caused the once beautiful place become defiled.

The highly anticipated "Dark Souls 3" DLC, "Ashes of Ariandel," will also bring new weapons, armor sets, along with new magic spell that will soon be discovered by the players. The new expansion is also expected to include exciting features that would improve gaming experience.

Meanwhile, according to a report by Polygon, the president of From Software Hidetaka Miyazaki recently revealed to the publication that the last two "Dark Souls 3" DLC packs will mark the conclusion of the popular video game franchise.

"It's time to move away from the Dark Souls franchise," reveals Miyazaki, one of the men behind the "Dark Souls 3" game. "As president of From Software, I'm not completely denying the possibility of bringing back the franchise in the future. There could be someone else in my company who wants to work on new installments. But we believe that the series will end after the two DLC."

However, the possibilities of another installment after the "Dark Souls 3" is still pretty high. The president of the company suggests that they might focus on making HD remakes of the previous installments in the future. However, Miyazaki refuses to provide the development and release details of their future plans.

"Ashes of Ariandel" will hit the market on Oct. 25, 2016. The new "Dark Souls 3" DLC will be available on Xbox One, PS4 and PC platform.
