Gears of War: Judgement Release Date: Gears of War 1 Included With Judgement And Epic Games Release New Trailer (Watch Here)

Epic Games and People Can Fly have released a new trailer for its upcoming Gears of War: Judgment and have also announced that the original Gears of War will be included in early copies of the game.

Initial launch copies of Gears of War: Judgment will include an Xbox Live code for the Games on Demand version of the original Gears of War code except for in Germany where due to ratings restrictions the game was not released.

Epic Games says that research shows that more than half of the consumers who played the trilogy ending Gears of War 3 did not actually experience the original video game that started the franchise.

The added bonus is a $19.99 value and features the troops of Delta Squad as they fight to save the human inhabitants of the planet Sera from a subterranean enemy known as the Locust Horde. Gears of War: Judgment is a prequel to the original game and takes place shortly after the emergence of the Locus.

This will be the first game in the franchise to not be developed exclusively by Epic Games and is instead a collaborative effort between Epic Games and People Can Fly. Gears of War: Judgment will also be the first game in the franchise not to feature hero Marcus Fenix as the main protagonist.

"The Guts of Gears," trailer showcases some of the game's intense and action-packed sections of the single-player campaign and is narrated by the game's principal protagonist and fan-favorite character Lt. Baird.

According to Epic Games, "the video offers a sneak peek at the wealth of exciting new campaign features, including the dynamic Smart Spawn System, new weapons, dynamic defense scenarios, Declassified Missions, new player rewards, and more."

Gears of War: Judgment releases on March 19 2013 exclusively for Microsoft's Xbox 360. Fans who pre-order Gears of War: Judgment at participating retailers will receive a multiplayer weapon at launch, the six shot Hammerburst.
