DmC: Devil May Cry News- 'Gamers' Petition President Obama To Remove DmC From Stores

The reinvention of the hack and slash beat'em series Devil May Cry has not sat well with some gamers and has created some controversy. Many gamers complained about the main hero's redesign and the stylistic change to the overall universe of the franchise.

Surprisingly, Ninja Theory's DmC: Devil May Cry has received positive reviews from most critics and review aggregating websites GameRankings and Metacritic currently have the PlayStation 3 version with a score of 85.78 percent and a 86-out-100 respectively. The Xbox 360 version holds a score of 85.49 percent on GameRankings and 86-out-of-100 on Metacritic.

Despite these positive reviews, some gamers are still angry about the video game and have decided to send President Obama and the White House a petition to remove Ninja Theory's new DmC: Devil May Cry from store shelves, according to an article from Game Informer.

The video game petition was submitted and removed from the White House's official petition site after it only collected 66 signatures.

Here is the petition thanks to website TechnoBuffalo:

"WE PETITION THE OBAMA ADMINISTRATION TO:

Get Ninja Theory's DmC: Devil May Cry pulled off the shelves.

Dear Mr. Obama: As a consumer to the Video Game Industry there is one Video Game that has caused a lot of controversy over the past few month's.

The name of the game is DmC: Devil May Cry made by Ninja Theory and Capcom. A majority of gamer's are aggravated that this game has changed so much from it's past predecessors and the game actually insults the consumers in-game.

We, as consumers did not want nor need this reboot and we believe it violates our rights to have a choice between the original's or the reboot. This game is violating our rights as a consumer and we believe it should be pulled off shelves from game stores due to it's insulting nature and the fact that it violates our rights.

Please Mr. Obama, look into your heart and make the decision that will please us Gamers."
