Apple has just released the iPhone 7 and Apple Watch Series 2 but reports suggest there is a whole roster of products that is yet to be released. One of them is the MacBook Air 2016 that is under tremendous speculations as users are unsure whether Apple would be continuing with the Air line or not.
Last year, the Apple MacBook Air and the Lenovo Yoga 900 were compared and in many cases, the Yoga 900 received more appreciation than the MacBook Air. It will be interesting to see how the MacBook Air 2016 fairs when compared to the Yoga 900.
As per Mobile & Apps, the Lenovo Yoga 900 is capable of being powered up to the Intel Core Sixth Generation i7 processor. If rumors are to be believed, the MacBook Air 2016 could be sporting an Intel Skylake processor that is expected to provide amazingly heavy-duty performance.
However, if the MacBook Air is released in 2017, then it could sport the highly talked about Intel Kaby Lake processor. The MacBook Air has already shown better battery performance than the Yoga 900. Hence, the MacBook Air 2016 is expected to improve on its battery. Moreover, Skylake and Kaby Lake processors better battery performance.
In terms of GPU, whether Apple would go for an Intel GPU or AMD's latest Polaris graphics processors is not yet known. Lenovo Yoga 900 uses an Iris Graphics 540 that can run 2015 games on low/medium settings.
The Lenovo Yoga 900 beat the Apple MacBook Air when it came to display resolution. It had a 3200x1800 QHD+ resolution whereas the latter had a 1440x900 resolution. However, as per International Business Times, that's going to change with the Apple MacBook Air 2016 is expected to have 4K, even 5K display technology with equally large ppi.
