Dead Space 3, AC3: Tyranny of King Washington DLC And 3 Other Games To Look Forward To In February

It is February 2013, and the first Tuesday of the month is less than 24 hours away, which means new video game releases are coming. Last month we gamers didn't have too many triple-A blockbuster titles to pick up. But things are starting to look up this month with a couple of big name titles on their way. Here is our list five things gamers have to look forward to this month. The list is in no particular order.

5. Dead Space 3: Visceral Games upcoming third-person shooter survival-horror video game is set to bring gamers back to the tormented world of Isaac Clarke, but this time you get to bring a friend along for the fright fest. The game takes place on a frozen planet, where visibility is limited and Necromorphs are plenty. Dead Space 3 will release on Feb. 5 for the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and Microsoft Windows PC.

4. Crysis 3: Crytek and Electronic Arts' first-person shooter and third entry in the series will see the Prophet traversing through a Nano dome enclosed New York City. Wildlife and the foliage have retaken the land creating an urban rainforest. The game looks like it will look amazing on any platform, but this is game that you need to buy for the PC. Well if your PC can handle the beastly specifications needed to run this visual monster.

3. Aliens: Colonial Marines: What a month for the monsters of space. Sega and Gearbox Software's upcoming first-person shooter based on the "Aliens" film franchise is an ambitious that is attempting to recreate the atmospheric terror of the iconic movies. The game is set 11 months after the events of the second movie and introduces several awesome multiplayer modes including a survival mode that should truly live up to the title. Aliens: Colonial Marines release on Feb. 12 for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and Windows PC.

2. Assassin's Creed III-Tyranny of King Washington DLC: I was slightly disappointed in a few aspects of Connor's historical adventure including the game's final sequence, but the new DLC looks extremely promising. The add-on promises an alternative history where George Washington becomes a tyrant King of the colonies. An untrained Connor is the only man who can stop the evil King Washington and it looks like it is going to be a visceral experience. The new expansion will release on Feb. 19 for Xbox 360 and PC. The PlayStation 3 version will get the DLC a day later on Feb. 20.

1, Skyrim- Dawnguard, Hearthfire, Dragonborn DLC: The Elder Scrolls: Skyrim has received several expansion on the Xbox 360, but PlayStation 3 and PC gamers have been left in the cold. But that is about to finally be corrected as the add-ons will finely be released for the PlayStation 3. Here are the official release dates for the Skyrim PS3 DLC in North America:

  • Dragonborn releases Tuesday, February, 12
  • Hearthfire releases Tuesday, February, 19
  • Dawnguard releases Tuesday, February, 26

The each DLC pack will release one day later in Europe. Here are those dates:

  • Dragonborn releases Wednesday, February 13
  • Hearthfire releases Wednesday, February 20
  • Dawnguard releases Wednesday, February 27

Honorable Mention: Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance
