Pokemon GO Plus is getting the 1.7.1 or 0.37.1 update following complaints from Reddit users that the device is receiving errors. The update came just three days after the update that enabled the Buddy Pokemon feature in the game.
The update was released on Sept. 16 and is currently available for iOS users only with an Android version expected to follow soon. The update is said to include a reliability and stability update, quick help for first connection to the device and minor text fixes like changing color or size in some interfaces. The Pokemon GO Plus Version 1.7.1 update will still block jailbreakers. However, the jailbreak tweak may be installed to spoof the jailbreak.
The Pokemon GO Plus is a wearable device that can be connected to an iPhone or smartphone via a Bluetooth connection. The device will alert the user when a Pokemon is nearby and the user can capture the creature with a Pokeball without having to bring out a handset. The accessory even allowed the capture of new Pokemon as well as acquiring items via Pokestops.
Meanwhile, since its release, the Pokemon GO Plus quickly went out of stock in retail outlets and online stores. However there are still several stores that sell the accessory. The device has quickly run out of stock on the GameStop website but it can still be found in some Gamestop Stores with links to each store's phone numbers so that potential customers may call before heading out to find the coveted device.
Pokemon GO Plus also quickly ran out of stock on other ECommerce companies. However, there remains to be one source where Pokemon GO Plus accessories are still available.
