"Arrow" Season 5 release date is just a day away. Once again, fans will have their fill of Star City's vigilante and now also its mayor fight crime publicly as well as privately as the masked superhero Green Arrow.
Will Team Green Arrow Reunite in ''Arrow' Season 5?
The previous season saw the near dissolution of the Team Green Arrow; only Oliver (Stephen Amell) and Felicity (Emily Bett Rickards) are left. Thea (Willa Holland) and Diggle (David Ramsey) left the team. Fans might have wondered if there is still a chance for the team to reunite when "Arrow" Season 5 release date comes.
It is not just fans wishing for the team to get back when "Arrow" Season 5 premieres. Apparently, even Oliver is in denial and still hoping that things would go back to where they were, reports TV Line.
Executive producer Wendy Mericle revealed that Oliver still hopes that the group will still be reunited in the coming "Arrow" Season 5 premiere. However, Felicity is a bit more pragmatic and wants the positions vacated by Diggle and Thea filled immediately by new recruits.
Felicity may just win out in the end, out of necessity. With the arrival of "Arrow" Season 5 air date comes numerous villains as well and Oliver will have to concede in getting fresh recruits to meet the new threats to Star City.
Oliver To Have His Plate Full Juggling Being Green Arrow & Star City Mayor
The executive producer also revealed that Oliver might have to employ more effective time management strategies with the arrival of "Arrow" Season 5. Mericle explained that season 5 could be very difficult for Oliver since he is now a public figure as mayor whose responsibilities would demand more time from him.
True, he held leadership position in the past which did not seem to conflict with his crime fighting duties. For instance, he was the Queen Consolidated CEO in the second season but being a CEO of a private entity is vastly different from running the city. "Arrow" Season 5 premiere would see Oliver try to achieve a balance between work life as a public official and work life as a superhero.
And of course there is that mentoring job imposed on him with the arrival of "Arrow" Season 5 release. Since Team Green Arrow will have new inexperienced recruits on board, it looks like season 5 would be one hectic period for Green Arrow.
