Disney is going the extra mile in turning their favorite animated movies into live-action movies. From "Cinderella," "Maleficent," "Jungle Book" and the upcoming "Beauty And The Beast" and "Lion King" live-action movies, "Mulan" live-action movie is added to the list.
The adventures of spunky girl-warrior Mulan is reportedly another project of Disney to be turned into a live-action movie. According The Hollywood Reporter, Disney is already on a worldwide quest to search high and low for an actress to perfectly play the role of Mulan.
"Mulan" Live-Action Movie Eyes Korean Cast?
Logically, the prospective actress must have Asian lineage at the very least to give justice to the animated film which was oozing with Chinese characters. Korean drama or K-drama fans are getting excited with the possibility that someone from their country might land the lead role in "Mulan" live-action movie.
The fans are rooting for Korean actress Park Shin Hye to play the lead actress role in "Mulan" live-action movie. As for Mulan's leading man, Li Shang, Korean actor Kim Woo Bin is the top choice of the fans, especially since he looks very much alike with the animated character. As of now, Disney has not yet finalized their casting list for "Mulan" live-action movie.
Foolproof Sequel For "Mulan" Live-Action Movie
The popular tandem of Amanda Silver and Rick Jaffa, known for their ability to bring new life to rewritten originals and sequels are on board for the "Mulan" live-action movie. Disney is obviously making sure that the "Mulan" live-action movie will be a big success just like its predecessor.
The director for "Mulan" live-action movie has yet to be announced so it's safe to say that there are still a lot of loose threads concerning the remake. However, the fans are rest assured that Disney is already on the process of producing "Mulan" live-action movie.
