‘Scandal’ Season 6 Air Date, News & Update: Bellamy Young & Kerry Washington’s Characters - Archenemies Turned Allies, Season Premiere on Presidential Election Eve Cancelled

"Scandal" Season 6 has been on the run for a great portrayal of two strong women Kerry Washington as Olivia Pope and Bellamy Young as Mellie Grant. The next season will be centered on the life of these two women' archenemies for a man's affection turned friends for a bigger goal, the presidency.

"Scandal" Season 6 will have President Fitz Grant (Tony Goldwyn) trying to win Olivia's heart. Meanwhile, the gorgeous wife Mellie is trying hard to win and keep her husband's love. The love triangle extended outward as Olivia has her heart turned back to her old love Jake (Scott Foley) as disclosed by Chattsportsnet.

The lives and relationships of the characters in "Scandal" Season 6 will become more astonishing as events turn the tide on the opposite direction. The archenemies Mellie and Olivia will try to build a relationship that they could not even imagine before could ever happen.

"Scandal" Season 6 will have Mellie running for the Presidency in place of her husband and Olivia will become the campaign manager and closest confidante. The series storyline will have the two women explore the joy of friendship, breaking down walls and just be there for each other.

It is a natural course expected as Mellie a Republican will be facing her opponent Francisco Vargas ((Ricardo Chavira) a Democrat as reported by Entertainment Weekly.

"Scandal" Season 6 is fixing and tying loose ends for its much awaited comeback a day before the US presidential elections. However, due to a minor hitch caused by Kerry's pregnancy the showing of the series is moved to a later date sometime in 2017
