Retailers Suggest Watch Dogs is Coming to Wii U

Watch Dogs will be coming to the Wii U, based on product pages from multiple retail websites.

Though we've considered the game "next-gen" since its announcement at E3 last year, Ubisoft has been cagey on exactly what platforms Watch Dogs is destined for. Ubisoft has confirmed the game will be released on PS3, Xbox 360, and PC. A recently leaked poster suggests the game will be coming to "all home consoles" and hit stores towards the end of this year. That euphemism has been taken to mean that the game would be coming to a certain pair of unannounced consoles, it's also possible that it referrs to the Wii U.

Gamestop is currently taking pre-orders for every home gaming platform currently available, including the Wii U. Best Buy has a seemingly unfinished product page. Amazon's Watch Dogs page claims the game is available for the Nintendo Wii: We choose to believe they actually mean Wii U, though anything's possible.

It should be noted that retailer pages are some of the least accurate indicators of gaming industry information. While it makes perfect sense that Watch Dogs would come to Wii U for a variety of reasons, this is far from an official confirmation from Ubisoft.
