Avid viewers of the MTV series "Teen Wolf" should prepare themselves for a heartbreaking and frightening new season. Stiles' potential happy future with Lydia is now unclear given the scary events that were teased in the show's latest Season 6 teaser clip.
Recently, MTV unveiled its latest promo clip for the upcoming final season of "Teen Wolf." The more than one-minute clip revolved around Stiles (Dylan O'Brien), his attempt to escape the Ghost Riders and his friends' efforts to rescue him. However, the said task may prove difficult since no one appears to remember the said character.
The new clip, posted on TVLine, previewed the nightmarish events that led to Stiles capture and his final moments with Lydia (Holland Roden). Despite his warning that everyone will forget him, Stiles still pleaded with Lydia to try and find some way to remember him.
Stiles' parting words where he finally declared his love for Lydia may serve as a sufficient incentive for the said character to hold onto her memories of him. However, the Ghost Riders' powers may be too much for Lydia and Stiles' friends, as shown in the teaser clip. Everyone else still forgot Stiles, except for Lydia, who had a nagging feeling that she missed something or someone important.
At this time, it is unclear if Lydia and Stiles will have a happy reunion. Although some of the scenes in the teaser hinted of Scott's (Tyler Posey) growing awareness that something is wrong. A rescue mission will then ensue, not only to bring Stiles back but everyone else whom the Ghost Riders abducted.
Meanwhile, one of the heartbreaking scene shown in the teaser involved Stiles' father Sheriff Stilinski (Linden Ashby). In the said scene, Lydia appears to be asking the sheriff to try and remember his missing son despite the said character's reluctance.
Stiles' disappearance and his father's difficulty in remembering him will have a huge impact on Ashby's character, according to showrunner Jeff Davis. In an earlier interview with Entertainment Weekly, Davis hinted of a few storyline twists that involve Sheriff Stilinski following Stiles' disappearance. However, he did not elaborate on the said character's plot development.
