‘Red Dead Redemption 2’ Release Date, News & Update: Rockstar Games Hiring New Staff; Multiplayer Mode Arriving In 2017?

Rumors of the eventual launch of "Red Dead Redemption 2" don't seem to have subsided, despite a long silence from both Take-Two Interactive and Rockstar Games. There are speculations that "Red Dead Redemption 2" may actually happen in 2017-- and with a multiplayer mode.

The rumors were ignited again recently after the company's recent job posting on its social media page. In the official Twitter account, Rockstar Careers, the company said it is looking for an Operations Project Manager and a .NET engineer. According to some, "Red Dead Redemption 2" will be playable on the upcoming PlayStation 4 Pro and Xbox Scorpio. It may also feature a brand new title. Some of the supposed titles include "Red Dead Tribulation," "Red Dead 3" and "Legends of the West."

Rockstar previously announced that they are hiring an Operations Project Manager to become part of their Online Services Operations team in San Diego, California. The individual is expected to collaborate closely with the group in overseeing the whole project. The related activities will include creating concepts, implementing ideas and execution via several stages. There will also be tests to guarantee that the game services perform optimally.Although the project was not identified, several fans speculated that Rockstar will be adding online multiplayer options for "Red Dead Redemption 2."

Alphr stated that "Red Dead Redemption 2" fans speculated that there may be multiple protagonists in the new story. Players may take on the role of Seth, Irish and a third customizable character. The game will reportedly be set 12 years before the events of the original "Red Dead Redemption." An alleged leaked map of "Red Dead Redemption 2" also surfaced, showing the various locations. If it turns out to be real, the prequel will happen east of where the original story took place.

In the alleged "Red Dead Redemption 2" map, there will be new places to explore in the Great Plains and Tall Trees areas, among others. There were also talks that a crossover might happen with "Mafia 3." Characters may be able to swim and ride water vessels in the upcoming title. More updates and details on "Red Dead Redemption 2" are expected soon.
