‘NBA 2K17’ Latest News & Update: Patch 1.03 Brings Changes To Gameplay, Home Courts, Jerseys & More

The "NBA 2K17" patch 1.03 has been recently released for the PlayStation 4 and PC and it has with it a lot of new fixes that players have longed for since the game's release. It will be coming soon to the Xbox One and it has with it some adjustments as well in Euroleague games and some rules in the game itself.

Operation Sports gives an overview of the "NBA 2K17" patch notes of the latest update; it is quite noticeable that the 1.03 patch will affect almost every nook and cranny of the game. While it features some visible additions such as the changes in the team jerseys and substitution patterns, the 1992 Dream Team is finally functional and playable. Previously, those who pre-ordered "NBA 2K17" had complained that the revered 1992 Dream Team was not playable at all and this was noted by the developers and immediately responded with an update which came with that fix and much more.

There also are some notable changes in Euroleague as "NBA 2K17" gamers will notice some difference in rules and violation calls as compared to standard NBA games. One of these changes is the 5-Second Closely Guarded rule which had been fixed so that such will only be called when the carrier is carrying the ball.

There are also some big changes in MyCareer/MyCourt; one of these being that the case wherein users would have an optional practice and a game overlapping in one day has already been corrected. The proper controls for "Orange Juice" can now be seen in the Controls menu in the in-game pause menu and the Ankle Breaker Badge now unlocks when the right conditions are met.

It is also reported that the update also brings about overall changes in the home floor of some teams which include the New York Knicks and the Milwaukee Bucks. There are also some improvements in the uniforms in other teams like the Indiana Pacers jersey not features a patch which commemorates it 50th anniversary. As for gameplay, lob pass frequency has been substantially lowered while the pass speeds were significantly increased; substitutions made while on timeout are now immediately applicable and there is no more need to wait for the next dead ball.
