Michael Schumacher continues to deal with his mishap following that unfortunate skiing accident that happened in 2013. While his true state is kept under wraps, son Mick Schumacher is trying to follow in the footsteps of his father though the task may seem daunting.
Michael Schumacher has long retired from competitive racing in 2012 though many had expected someone from the Schumacher gene pool to one day succeed him. Mick moving up to Formula 3 in 2017
Mick Schumacher has been quietly burning the tires the past three years proving his stock at Formula 4. Like his father, the 17-year-old hopes to up the stakes by moving up to Formula 3 next year, Autosport reported.
It goes without saying that Mick Schumacher has inherited the competitive nature of his father though it all depends if he would be given the opportunity to do so. But for him to go to the next level, Mick knows that he needs to do a better job in qualifying rounds.
"With every race and with every year, you get better," Schumacher said. "Every mistake is valuable. Like his father Michael Schumacher, Mick is forced to understand that fame doesn’t come overnight. It entails lots of hard work and setbacks that would require persistence on his part.
Hence, the key for Mick Schumacher is to try and try until he succeeds. One victory or loss did not define his father’s legacy and it is surely something he will have to adapt to. Along with that comes rivalries and Joey Mawson is looming as one. Aside from winning the Formula 4 title from Mick Schumacher, Dawson also has high ambitions to move up to F3 next year, ESPN reported.
