It now appears that when "Humans" Season 2 release date finally arrives, the difference between synths starts to become even more blurry. It can be recalled that in the first season, the conscious synth Niska, played by actress Emily Berrington, made a copy of the consciousness code.
In fact, a lot of "Humans" Season 2 spoilers are concerned about what Niska intends to do with her copy. Some speculate that the rebellious and conscious synth could just bring more trouble to both synths and humans with what she plans to do with the code.
Now, a recently release "Humans" Season 2 trailer seem to suggest that Niska did use the code. The trailer starts by posing the question "If you have the power to create life, would you?" suggesting that it was the struggle Niska had when she possessed the consciousness in last season's finale.
Apparently, Niska decided to transmit the consciousness code worldwide. When "Humans" Season 2 release date comes, humans will have to deal with all of their servant synths "waking up" or becoming conscious.
Now, the question most are asking is how will one treat a synth has become sentient or conscious in "Humans" Season 2? There are those who take the stance that "it's a machine until proven otherwise." But the synths who have become conscious are starting to act and feel just like humans that, when one synth was about to be terminated, he asked if it was fear that he felt at the moment.

Thankfully, US-based fans of the sci-fi series will now have a "Humans" Season 2 release date to look forward to. In a Twitter post from the show's official account, it was announced that the second season for the series will be airing in AMC by February next year.
