Recalling from the previous episodes, Nick and Sonia have been too distant with each other, resulting to Sonia moving out of Nick's house. Gamenguide reports that Sonia and Nick could not seem to work out their problems, which resulted to a heated argument.

Moreover, Sonia felt that Nick is hesitant to open up, making him defensive about everything in their marriage. It was not at all a happy marriage for Nick and Sonia since they just bounced back from their near divorce decision.
In "Married At First Sight" Season 4 Episode 14, the couples will have to work hard on rekindling their romance. Tom and Lilian can be seen as the strongest couple among others. Tom, being a gentleman, had asked for his mother-in-law's blessing.
