But what role could Leon be playing in "Mr Robot" Season 3? In the season 2 finale, Leon met with Trenton and Tobley and asked them "Do you have the time?" Of course, fans speculations about his action have multiplied, more so now that show creator Sam Esmail specifically mentioned the character. Is Leon carrying some important message from Elliot, to be revealed in the coming "Mr Robot" Season 3 release date? And more importantly, is he their friend or foe?
'Mr Robot: Red Wheelbarrow' Addresses 'Missing' Episode
In the meantime, show creator Sam Esmail and co-writer Courtney Looney just unveiled a trailer about their upcoming book "Mr Robot: Red Wheelbarrow," reports Ars Technica. The upcoming book is said to cover the time between the first season finale and season 2, a journal that details about Elliot's life while in prison that was not shown in the series.
In the panel that followed, Esmail expressed surprise at how quickly fans caught on that Elliot is actually in a prison which happen right after episode 1 aired. However, the show creator added that there is just one detail that fans seem to have missed out until now, though he did not offer what it could be.
And for those who might have asked on more than a few occasions if there is an actual corporation in the real world that was used as the model for the fictional Ecorp in "Mr Robot," Esmail actually revealed the corporation's name in the Q & A that followed. Ecorp was modeled after Enron, the energy giant that was embroiled in a scandal that ultimately led to its bankruptcy.

Fans may have to wait a bit longer before their questions, brought by last season's cliffhanger, could be answered. "Mr Robot" Season 3 release date will arrive next year but a definite date is still to be announced.
