'Xbox One Backwards Compatibility' Update: Four New Titles Arrived on the Feature

The month of October is pouring in, in terms of new titles in the Xbox One backwards compatibility list. And just yesterday, Microsoft's Larry Hryb, also known as Major Nelson announced on twitter four new titles on the feature. The new titles include "Jurassic Park: The Game," "Battlestations: Midway," "Tour de France 2011" and "Dragon's Lair."

Despite the titles not included in the top 10 most requested Xbox One backwards compatibility titles, their steep price says, they have been part of the XBox 360's most successful games. According to the Gamespot, players don't need to download the games, if they previously had them on the Xbox 360 console. Otherwise, they need to purchase the game and manually download the games on the Xbox One Store. "Jurassic Park: The Game" is valued at $20 with 1.58GB of file size, "Battlestations: Midway" at $20 with a staggering 4.76GB of file size and "Dragon's Lair" at $10 with 988.61MB file size. Unfortunately for "Tour de France 2011," the title is currently not available in the United States.

Interestingly, Attack of the Fanboy said that, the current library of the Xbox One backwards compatibility hosts over 250 titles from the Xbox 360 lineup. To this day, the feature records over 150 million hours of gaming in the Xbox One console alone.

Just recently, we reported about the "Call of Duty: Black Ops 2" briefly appearing on Games with Gold list after which, it was immediately taken down to prevent further queries whether it will be part of the XBox One backwards compatibility list. Hryb has since addressed the issue saying, it was an error on their part. He also confirmed that it will not be part of the new line up, which fortunately, arrived today. GameNGuide on the other hand reported that, the possibility of the title arriving will happen soon. After all, Hryb never said, the title will not arrive on the Xbox One backwards compatibility feature.
