Reports are circulating all over the Internet that Microsoft has already sent out invites for its Oct. 26 event, which is speculated to highlight the arrival of Microsoft Surface Book 2. Although the company has yet to confirm these reports, several sources revealed that the American tech company has been planning to launch the highly anticipated laptop before the year ends.
Despite the heavy speculations about the rumored launching of Microsoft Surface Book 2, some industry observers believe that the Redmond-based company will not roll out the portable computer this year. According to them, the upcoming Microsoft event will be used by the company to introduce its latest PC, the Microsoft Surface All-in-One (AIO). However, some fans are still pretty confident that the company will also provide concrete details with regard to their future developments and releases including the Microsoft Surface Book 2 and the much awaited Microsoft Surface Pro 5.
The event was first revealed by Mary Jo Foley, a Microsoft expert, who also believes that the affair will also highlight the company's latest operating system Windows 10 Redstone 2. The upcoming event, which comes with an advertising tagline "the next chapter in the Windows story" is said to be the last official presser of the company in 2016. If Microsoft decides to launch the Microsoft Surface Book 2 this year, it is definitely going to happen during the Oct. 26 event.
Meanwhile, despite the company's lack of solid information about the Microsoft Surface Book 2, reports online have already revealed some of its specs and features. According to reports, the laptop will run on Intel's latest core processor, the Kaby Lake, which is considered as the most powerful chipset today. Intel has already announced that the new CPU is not going to be available until the end of the year, which is why experts believe that Microsoft Surface Book 2 will not come out in 2016.
