‘Battleborn’ Latest News & Update: Attikus, Thrall Rebellion As New Story DLC; Multiplayer Mode, Skins For Some Heroes Launched

"Battleborn" has just got its first story DLC with Attikus and Thrall Rebellion as part of the five planned story expansions of Gearbox Software. This latest development has shown the commitment of the game developer to its FPS/MOBA in spite of the game not selling too well. In its new story, players can choose from among the 28 heroes in coop missions and competitive matches.

Sales of "Battleborn" have been greatly affected when it was released in the same time frame with Overwatch. However, CEO Strauss Zelnick said that they will continue to sustain the hero shooter through virtual currency and add-on content. The release of Attikus and Thrall Rebellion DLC proved just that.

Publisher 2K has not been slack in its update of "Battleborn" in the past. Game Spot reported that the publisher has been updating the game with broadcaster tools, free characters and maps. With the release of competitive multiplayer mode, the skills of PVE and PVP players will indeed be put to a test.

"Battleborn's" Attikus and Thrall Rebellion DLC do not come for free for all. If purchased alone, it costs $5, but it is included in the season pass which costs $20. However, it is free for those who were able to purchase the game during the open beta last April. The patch note is available at the official "Battleborn" website.

The new story of "Battlebron" revolves around Attikus and his motivation to fight in the uprising of the Thrall through Tempest, the slums of the planet. The next story with title "Toby's Friendship Raid" will soon arrive this fall. New skins are also available for "Battleborn" Marketplace for Deande, Reyna, Alani and Pendles. The same content also include consumable XP boosters.

The online first-person shooter video game is available in PlayStation 4, Microsoft Windows and Xbox One. Stay tuned to GameNGuide for the latest news and update of "Battleborn."
