Showtime recently dropped the first ever trailer of "Homeland" Season 6 that gives a glimpse of the show's new location. Although the short clip is mainly composed of last season's intense scenes, critic quotes and awards won, it shows what fans are about to see.
"Homeland" Season 6 will continue the tale after a few months from its last season. Carrie (Claire Danes) will now be seen in the United States living in Brooklyn, according to SlashFilm. The former operations officer is now working for an organization helping the Muslims living in the U.S.
It was previously reported that "Homeland" Season 6 will show the U.S. election and inauguration of the new President. Also, as fans seen Peter (Rupert Friend) hanging on his life in the last season's finale, it is now revealed that he is alive! The CIA paramilitary officer will definitely back, but some reports say that he will show a little change.
Moreover, Daily Mail reported that Claire Danes was recently spotted in Brooklyn neighborhood Williamsburg. The 37-year-old star is busy filming "Homeland" Season 6 in New York City as it was earlier revealed that the show will tackle the counter-terrorism act in the metropolis after the tragic 9/11 attack.
The American political thriller TV series executive producer Alex Gansa explained that he wants their viewers to see how dangerous the terrorist attacks can be. "Homeland wants to objectively sit back and look at how scared we should be," he said. However, he cleared that they have no intention to scare people, but only want to give awareness.
"You won't be able to turn away from this gripping, emotional thriller in which nothing short of the fate of our nation is at stake," the show's official synopsis noted. "Homeland" Season 6 will return on Jan. 15 on Showtime at 9:00 p.m.
