"Jane the Virgin" Season 3 will be an emotional installment for the fans of the hit telenovela. The season will premiere with a very devastating news regarding Michael (Bret Dier) who was shot during the finale episode of season 2. Instead of celebrating their wedding, Jane (Gina Rodriguez) will be stuck in the hospital to be with her new husband whose life still hangs in balance.

During an interview with TVLine, the EP revealed that the couple's early courtship stage will be featured. Viewers will see more about how the two fell in love with each other, their first date and what happened when they had their first kiss. Jane will find strength in remembering their happy moments together.

As for the fate of Michael, there is a great chance for him to be survive in "Jane the Virgin" season 3. The creators of the show have hinted that Gina Rodriguez's character will lose her virginity this season which means her husband is alive. There will be big changes in her life now that she is already married. Season 3 will be a time of growing up for her and she will let go of her fairy tale dreams for her life, as per Bustle.
