'World of Final Fantasy' News & Updates: PS4 and PS Vita Demo Finally Out; How To Download? Find Out Here!

It feels like there's always a new "Final Fantasy" game coming out every now and then these days. A couple of days ago, Square Enix released the demo for yet another new game in the series, "World of Final Fantasy" for the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita, a game that seems to aim the younger market.

"World of Final Fantasy" is a turn-based game which features the adventures of twins Lann and Reynn in a 3D chibi-style "Final Fantasy" universe called Grymoire. However, they're not actually originally chibi; things in Grymoire just make them look that way. According to GearNuke, chibi versions of familiar "Final Fantasy" protagonists Cloud, Lightning, and Squall - the weather trio - also appear in the game to help you party out and give you some useful items.

Kotaku reported that the demo of "World of Final Fantasy" is worth a download. It's not like your usual demo, where it offers a taste of the action by giving you the first one or two chapters of the game. Instead, it stands as both its own experience and a tutorial of how things are going to work in the full game when it releases.

The gameplay also works a little like the "Pokemon" games, in which the party can "befriend" monsters after defeating them in battle and add them to their roster. The final boss of the demo is Magitek Armor P, which players can add to their team in the main game after defeating.

The "World of Final Fantasy" demo is available on the PlayStation Store for PS4 and PS Vita, but only for Europe and Australia. You can download the 1.2 GB file for PS4, or a little under 500 MB for the Vita, for free. "World of Final Fantasy" is dropping on October 25 in America, 27 in Japan, and 28 in Europe.
