Microsoft is expected to release the second version of Windows 10 Redstone in 2017, something expected to come out in 2017. There will be two updates expected to come out, Redstone 2 in the Spring and Redstone 3 in the Fall.
While the release date for Windows 10 Redstone may seem a bit far off, recent updates rolled out have caused a bit of a stir for users. The features highlighted involved the productivity perks that the Windows 10 Redstone system would have to offer that includes the integration of Cortana to the system services and OS itself, ZDNet reported.
Much of this was seen in the recent anniversary update carrying build number 1607. More are expected in succeeding builds in Redstone 2 which will reportedly have a build number 1703, Windowsreport reported. While all that may be something to look forward to, Microsoft has been mum on what to expect for 2017.
There is a scheduled Microsoft event happening on Oct. 26 and apparently folks are expecting some update. The release date of Windows 10 Redstone 2 will likely be among the speculated stuff on the agenda though seeing what improvements the company has will be of more importance. The event is expected to showcase the company’s leading products led by the AIO Surface PC and possibly some Xbox stuff aside from updates to Windows 10.
While the Windows devices seem to be the focal point of the show, seeing what updates to expect for Windows 10 Redstone is equally important. In fact, the event is expected to weigh in on the future of Windows 10, an important angle that will likely be known next week.
