‘Iron Fist’ Air Date, Spoilers, News & Update: Netflix Adapts Another Marvel Comic Story! Fans Don't Want Finn Jones As Danny Rand?

Marvel's latest TV series "Iron Fist" is ready to unleash its power on Netflix on March 17, 2017. A familiar face Finn Jones, who plays the character of Ser Loras Tyrell of "Game of Thrones," will play Danny Rand or known as the Iron Fist.

Marvel and Netflix will introduce the character of Danny Rand (Finn Jones) as a martial arts expert that happens to have a super power hand known as the "Iron Fist." Danny Rand will join Jessica Jones, Daredevil and Lucas Cage in the upcoming series, "The Defenders," also on Netflix.

In an interview with IGN, the producer Scott Buck said that "the character of Danny Rand is torn between two worlds and he doesn't belong to any one of them." He also added that the "Iron Fist" story tells about a journey of a character to discover himself and to know his place in the world.

In addition, the series "Iron Fist" is inspired by modern-day martial arts which are choreographed carefully so it will fit the character of Danny Rand who has a super-punch ability. The producers added that the series will have a lighter tone compared to the other Marvel movies and series.

With the casting of "Iron Fist," according to a report, some avid fans of Marvel comics are disappointed with Marvel choosing Finn Jones to play as Danny Rand. But, in an interview with the producer Jeph Loeb, he said that he is confident that Finn Jones is the perfect fit for the character.

"He just sort of owned it. He had the things we needed ... he has kind of boyish charm ... and then at the same time he has just kind of Wolverine anger," Jeph Loeb added. "Iron Fist," is a comic adaptation with the same title that has a storyline that focuses on Danny Rand's struggles, his family, responsibilities and life purpose.
