‘Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild’ Release Date, News & Update: Gameplay Trailers, Open-World System, Combat & Hunting

Just before Nintendo launched its newest console, the Nintendo Switch, it has released three new gameplay trailers of its upcoming game: "Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild." The trailers showcase a lot of in-game action wherein Link goes walking, running, exploring the open world while meeting a lot of strange creatures in his path.

The Verge reports that the trailer can be found on Nintendo's official Japanese account and shows what has been shown by Nintendo earlier at E3. Every bit of the game looks as beautiful as much as it allows a player to do a lot of things in the game; Link is even seen snowboarding at one point. Of course, the classic elements of all "Legend of Zelda" games are still present such as collecting artifacts, solving puzzles, battling giant creatures and many more.

IGN reports that the first trailer focuses on the open world which is quite different from most other "Legend of Zelda" games. This time, Link can interact more freely with almost every element of his surroundings which can still lead to a lot of fun and action.

The second trailer focuses on combat and hunting and, from what is shown, combat definitely looks more action packed this time. The "Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild" trailer shows Link hunting down what appears to be deer and fish as well as chopping down wood and battling evil looking strange creatures as he goes around and about his world.

The last trailer shows the weather system in "Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild" and it is as complete as it can be for a game in the "Legend of Zelda" franchise. A player would get to experience playing in green summers, pale and cold winters in any time of the day or night.

"Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild" is said to be released for the Wii U and the Switch next year and fans will know soon how a new and intriguing console such as the switch will be able to give players a brand new experience. It is also reported that this game will be much bigger than most other "Zelda" titles and that the RPG elements have been enhanced to current-gen console levels; this game even showcases voice acting for the first time.

The game is slated for a March 2017 launch, which is probably around the same time that the Nintendo Switch will be released. Stay tuned to GamenGuide for more updates on "Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild"!
