‘Pokemon Go’ Latest News & Updates: Niantic Giving Away Free Pokemon Candy For Halloween? Details Here!

Halloween is nearing and the season is usually celebrated by giving out candies to kids. As far as “Pokemon Go” is concerned, virtual candies are somewhat hard to come by so Niantic may just have the heart to give players a break.

As most know, collecting Pokemon Candy has been one of the hard items to come by. Even with the new Buddy System, reaching a certain mile and collecting the meager amount of candy in “Pokemon Go” hardly seems to sit well with gamers. In fact, some have nixed it all together with reports that there are players who have turned their backs on the AR game.

If true, this somehow explains why the number of active players has dwindled. Add the presence of “Pokemon Sun and Moon” to the mix and Niantic may be on the brink of losing more players to competition.

The best scenario to get more Pokemon candy than usual is through special events from Niantic. As of this writing, nothing special has been planned though anything can happen in the coming days. More candy for a limited time could be good such as doubling the sweets, Forbes reported.

Assuming that Niantic does have a special Halloween event for “Pokemon Go”, pocket monsters like “Ghastly”, “Haunter” or even “Gengar” could be the stars of the show. Critters with higher CP could be better but all that depends on whether the company wants to get into the festive mood, Slash Gear reported.

Together with that are of course the items that “Pokemon Go” players could put to good use. That includes incubators, eggs, and potions, most of which would be a big shot in the arm for players who want some small freebies. Pokemon Gyms could be a target as well, likely a hotspot for people expected to roam out this Halloween season.
