‘Final Fantasy 15’ Release Date, News & Update: ‘Omen’ Trailer Teases Dark Noctis, Hints Luna’s Death

Square Enix has given avid "Final Fantasy" fans a treat with the release of a new teaser for its upcoming game "Final Fantasy 15." Titled "Omen," the more than four-minute clip featured several battle scenes and a look at Noctis' potential future.

Many gamers have been eagerly awaiting the upcoming launch of "Final Fantasy 15." In its latest teaser clip, players were given a chance to witness an ominous vision that Noctis' father King Regis received about the future and his son's potential turn to darkness.

Posted on the game's official YouTube account, the clip started off with Noctis entering what appears to be a room inside a castle. A voice-over then mentions the King of the Light, a calling and how the Crystal-anointed "true" King can "purge [the world] of its scourge."

The succeeding scenes proceeded to show Noctis' solo road trip and the appearance of a mysterious white dog. Forced to follow the four-legged animal, Noctis starts to experience visions of what appears to be Luna in the middle of a huge battle. The "Final Fantasy 15" protagonist also found himself fighting off soldiers and other creatures.

However, the interesting scenes featured in Square Enix's latest teaser included a look at a darker Noctis killing Luna. The events shown in the clip appears to be a part of a vision that King Regis saw. However, it is unclear if Noctis or his friends will have the power to change potential future events.

In other news, game developers have added an interesting fighting accessory to Noctis' arsenal of weapons. In one of Square Enix's gameplay video clips, developers highlighted how players can use Moogles to distract an opponent's attention, Polygon reported.

When utilized during a battle, the villains' attention will temporarily transfer to the Moogle giving Noctis and his friends some time to escape or attack. However, the said strategy will only work on specific opponents.

Meanwhile, Square Enix is looking to add an online multiplayer mode to "Final Fantasy 15." In an interview with VG247, game producer Haruyoshi Sawatari shared that they are already looking at gameplay ideas for the said project. He added, "There's really not too much we can say about it - it's all really very much in the air at the moment."

"Final Fantasy 15" will be released on Nov. 29 for Xbox One and Playstation 4. Watch the "Omen" trailer below:
