'Better Call Saul' Season 3 Spoilers, News: Bryan Cranston May Have Teased About His Joining the Series; Said to be Directing an Episode in New Season

Now that the filming of “Better Call Saul” Season 3 is well underway in Albuquerque, New Mexico, spoilers are now being floated about regarding the coming season. These tend to lean heavily on which characters from “Breaking Bad” will find their way to the prequel spinoff.

A lot of fans went beyond ecstatic after it was confirmed by “Better Call Saul” lead actor Bob Odenkirk himself that Gus Fring (Giancarlo Esposito) will be crossing over to the series in the coming season. The confirmation seemed anti-climactic since the fans have more or less known about it since the last season’s finale.

Avid fans of the series were able to decode the return of Fring from all the episode titles from last season. According to Screencrush, the first letters of the episode titles spelled “Fring’s Back”. But, there is still no word as to when Fring will make his first appearance in “Better Call Saul” Season 3.

Aside from Fring, another character from the mother series is making his way to the series. That is, if Bryan Cranston who played the iconic Walter White, will be believed. During a Q&A in his book tour, he revealed that he just visited the “Better Call Saul” Season 3 set. The actor teased that he was told of an exciting news about the series.

Cranston said that another character from “Breaking Bad” who fans will recognize is coming to “Better Call Saul” Season 3. That got everybody guessing on who might this character be. Based on the show’s timeline, it is still too early for Walter White to appear in the season. Cranston clarified that he was not referring either to Gus Fring or Jesse Pinkman (Aaron Paul).

As for his own frequently rumored appearance in “Better Call Saul”, Cranston said that if EP Vince Gilligan wants him in the show, he will be there in a second reports Paste Magazine. Though his character’s return as Walter White is not yet confirmed, reports say that Cranston will be directing one of the episodes of the coming season. This too however, is still unconfirmed.
