‘Pokemon Go’ Latest News & Updates: Candy Hauled Doubled, Find Out How Sweeter It Is

For a limited time, “Pokemon Go” players will get the chance to catch some ghost-kind Pokemon that were not traditionally seen and rewarded with candies that are more than the usual haul. The whole initiative is part of Niantic’s celebration of Halloween, the first-ever.

Much of the details for the special event to be held on November 1 were covered in a previous post, particularly covering Pokemon like Haunter, Gastly and Drowzee to name a few. For those playing “Pokemon Go”, you may have already noticed frequent spawns in areas, particularly near the PokeStops.

Capturing these “Pokemon Go” critters is just half the story since some may have overlooked how much candy they are hauling in. For those who are unaware, you get six candies with every catch, twice the normal haul, iMore reported.

With so much things to do in “Pokemon Go”, there are other affected features that rack in the sweets. Egg hatching will render double candy rewards while the Buddy System route will be lucrative. For every 0.25 KM walk, expect your chosen Pokemon buddy to get one candy along the way.

The whole tactic by Niantic has allowed “Pokemon Go” to catapult its way to the top though it will be interesting if this will remain after the Halloween break, Forbes reported. As most know, the hit augmented reality game’s stock has dropped following an emphatic debut back in July with the game bombing out due to bugs and lack of features.

The "Pokemon Go" Halloween dish has spurred interest but Niantic may want to address the player rants, particularly an improved tracking feature. This is one prime reason why most have resorted to the use of third party apps though there are penalties for players caught doing so.

The app FastPokeMap is reportedly set to return, which its developer claims is entirely legal. The last say, however, will be at the hands of "Pokemon Go" developer, Niantic, who seems to have relaxed a bit seeing that they need players to stay on the game despite bending the rules.
