"Scandal" Season 6 has finally been set to air in early 2017 later than expected to happen in 2016. The delay was attributed to Kerry Washington's (cast as Olivia Pope) pregnancy.
There are many surprises and twists that are ready to be unfolded in "Scandal" Season 6. According to Designtrend, the season will bring about an impending reconciliation of Olivia and ex - President Fitz Grant (Tony Goldwyn) of the US.
"Scandal" Season 6 will take off from Olivia and Fitz relationship turned sour and sad by unwanted courses of events. Olivia had resorted to an abortion of her child. Fitz knew of the abortion but could no longer do anything about it.

In an interview with Variety , Scott Foley who is playing the character of Jake also has his expectations for the storyline of "Scandal" Season 6. He would have wanted Olivia to be happy, a breather from season 5's heavy and difficult situation that she was in.

"Scandal" Season 6 will bring about complications for the characters Mellie (Bellamy Young) and Jake who are running mates in the US presidential elections, as noted in some reports. If both win, Jake will be working more closely with Olivia being the professional in fixing lives of political figures and the elite.
