'Overwatch' Latest News & Update: LumeriCo Attack Reveals Nothing; Image Leaked Unveils Sombra

"Overwatch," a multiplayer video game released in May 2016 by Blizzard Entertainment, constantly features new characters to make gameplay continuously interesting. The company has been teasing its fans that it will unveil Sombra on the Day of the Dead or at Blizzcon. On November 1, a Sombra attack occurred and an image of the hero was leaked revealing the new character on "Overwatch."

On November 1, 2016, at 8:00 pm EST, LumeriCo power plant in Dorado, one of the maps in "Overwatch," was under an attack that eventually melted it down as its power meters reached 100%. This was believed to be the work of an outside hacker. Fans assumed this to be a revelation of the long-awaited Sombra's mystery.

However, according to PC Gamer, this "event" pointed to www.volskayaindustries.com and was just a misdirection page. The page still needs to be examined as it may reveal some secretse. For now, the Sombra attack reveals nothing about the new hero in "Overwatch," making the fans disappointed. However, an image leaked and posted on Reddit appears to have disclosed the character.

"Overwatch" Sombra Latest News: Image "fineartsombra" Revealed

According to Engadget, the image named "fineartsombra" was accidentally posted on Blizzard's store page shortly before the page was shut down. However, user Metalexe was able to capture the image and posted it on Reddit. "Fineartsombra" has a striking resemblance to an "Overwatch" image leaked before. It bears the Blizzard concept artist John Polidora's signature and art style making it look legitimate.

Blizzard gave a countdown timer and implied that there would be a revelation at the end. Indeed, this turn of events revolving around the never-ending mystery of the new character and its abilities tugged fans around. Discussions say that the "Overwatch" fans will need to wait for the Blizzcon on November 4 for the Sombra revelation, if it happens at all.
