The Flash Season 3 Episode 5 Recap: Caitlin’s Power Revealed- Who is the Monster?

This week on The Flash Season 3 episode 5 titled "Monster" Caitlin Snow asked her mother Dr. Tanhauser for help. As Caitlin seeks for answers for her new growing metahuman powers. Julian warmed up to Barry and Team Flash discovers a thing or two about Harisson Wells.

In the latest episode of The Flash Season 3 episode 5, a lot has happened that contributed to the overall plot. It gave Caitlin Snow (played by Danielle Panabaker) a lot of character progression. Chilled by the gradual manifestation of her latent metahuman powers, Caitlin sought out her mother Dr.  Carla Tanhauser (played by guest star Susan Walters) in her quest to understand her icy abilities.

Not to be outdone, Dr Tanhauser, a well renowned biomedical researcher is pretty cold herself as she treat her own daughter as a science project. This is not that far off though because in the past episodes of the The Flash, this cold and icy relationship has been hinted back when Caitlin's father died resulting for her mom to devote herself on her work leading to a broken relationship between the two women.

Meanwhile, in the latest episode of The Flash season 3 Barry Allen (played by Grant Gustin) tried to convince Julian Albert (played by Tom Felton) to help him solve a case of a mysterious metahuman attacks happening within Central City. In particular, the case of a mysterious giant monster that is terrorizing the town. However, the creature was revealed to be just a hologram operated by a 15-year-old kid who was tired of being bullied at school, and wanted to get people scared for once. The Flash stops Julian from almost gunning the teen down. Julian later bonds with Barry over a few drinks with the realization how powerless he was against the metahuman menace.

The Flash season 3 episode 5 also showed a new version of Harrison Wells, (played by Tom Cavanagh) this one comes from Earth 19. A scientist/novelist who the show hints that he may possibly have a sinister agenda. As Cisco Ramon (played by (Carlos Valdes) found a digital recording suggesting a sinister recording.

For the uninitiated, the Metahumans are people with super human powers and abilities- which can be considered as the equivalent of a mutant. However, since The Flash is a part of the Detective Comics (DC) universe they were referred as such.
